Connie and her husband Ross often play Contract 500 with Jennie and her husband Rege. It is a mistatement to say that recently, the men trounced the women in several games. Connie also hates Winter and snow. As a result of the women's temperamental loss to the men, Rege wrote the following poem for their benefit.

The Card Players

A woman named Con just loved to play cards,

‘Specially when she and Jen bid “Nullo!”

But two men in full stride set them back on their heels,

Now both she and Jen cry, “Oh, shit-no!”

“You two cheat when you play,” Ms. Connie complained;

“When YINZ die you'll go straight to hell.”

“Hah,” said Ross, “you two talk ‘cross the board;

Does that not in fact ring a bell?”

When C&J passed away after many a year,

And faced God seated athrone;

Quothe He, “You and Jen cheat a lot playing cards,

The consequences you both should have known!”

For your infamous deeds towards your husband and Rege,

To purgatory you surely must go!

After one minute down there Jennie heard Connie swear,

“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!”
