Sage Sweetwater, unrivaled, bringing you the Upper Tier in lesbian erotica...Sage Sweetwater, the exceptional ARTIST of literary lesbian poetic prose...

Blackmail's Last Ride at Chalk Creek Gulch

relentless, horse
up to its knees in grass,
I inhaled, filled my lungs
with a hemp sack of heavy
wooden decoys over my shoulder,
riding on, leaving half a cord of wood
behind for blackmail's last ride,

feral dogs and
unpublished mineral
guides, scraped venison
hides, barter for snowshoes
and blacksmith tools, approaching
winter solstice of '83, pioneers here
to confuse the creditor and law, I saw
her maiden name on the cabin door, give
the fabler her due, whiskey too,

hearsay tale
that smacked of
Hollywood melodrama,
miners, gamblers, ladies
of the night, she called me
in, lifted her top off - her dutch
oven, I bought her brown sliced
venison and boiled potatoes, she
let loose a literacy barrage outlining
the defects of the timber and stone laws,
she gave me a hit off her molybdenum pipe,
I inhaled eventual uses and benefits, high authority
between miner and assay, even today some pose the
question, was it arranged destiny?

Belleville stove
emitting old-world
aromas, she asked
what I had in mind, "hemp
sack of wooden decoys, blackmail's
last ride at Chalk Creek Gulch, fat mallards,
widgeons, canvasbacks and pintails on the beaver
pond, flush blackmail out from the willows,"

we fucked
in the tippiness
of that canoe, her
pussy scraping against
the side of mine, blackmail
crawling on its hands and knees
behind us waiting to see what is ahead,
flush blackmail out of the willows,

Sage you seem to be caught somewhere in the mid to late 1800's as well as today. The exchange of both worlds is alluring. "heresay tale that smacked of Hollywood melodrama, miners, gamblers, ladies." Which world imposes you the most? I do enjoy the cracked saddle feel that smacks of primrose and whiskey in the words you write. Tim

My, oh, my, as the owner of a bright red canoe, I can tell you from personal experience that getting sexually frisky in a canoe is taking a bit of a risk. But, of course, so is getting sexually frisky anyplace.

I love your poems filled with history!

It is always nice to read you Sage. You leave nothing to the imagination, except where to find a partner like that. I also echo what Vickey said too. This is a very sensual, romantic, no holds barred adventure in raw lesbian passion. Thank yuo for sharing Sage.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

your visuals are amazing and the telling details you pick are so intriguing, bringing all the senses alive and standing to attention! The worlds you create are so plausible and you have a most uncanny knack for sucking the reader right in from first word to last - YET allowing us to feel that we have been privileged to be a fly-on-the-wall of an ongoing situation. That tippy canoe sounds like bliss! Bet you're good at a roll! :)) xx
