A burglar gets more then he bargained for on a night's job.

Moonlight streams through open window.
Stranger enters, torchlight sweeping.
Silence reigns.

Down a dark narrow corridor,
Whispers echo. Sudden darkness. Alert.
Silence reigns.

Stereo visible in doorway.
Burglar approaches. Flood of lights. Surprise!
Silence reigns.

Police lights flash in driveway.
Owner parks, staring. Guests flustered.
Silence reigns.

Hopefully the burglar will learn something from the experience and start listening a bit more to the "still small voice" within the "sound of silence." Thank you for sharing, Ching-Ling. Love and best wishes,
