Okra fries
my tears
fall on
deaf ears
Despair
fills my
plate
Fried green tomatoes
sizzle gently
I need you
to hear me
but time
slips slowly
away as a
timer beeps
Rice is ready
Ignored I
am fed
to the wolves
of loneliness
with no
leftovers
my soul is
empty....

I can feel the emotions expressed. Very well done, Jordis. Love and peace.
