Happy Birthday Jesus!
Merry Christmas all around!
--KK, 2009

STARLIGHT

S

tra

ngers

Passing

In the night

If their eyes met yours

You might see

STARLIGHT

I know you’re tired

Of the unending Road and the Bite

Of the Wind

And the Cloak of the Cold

So take a moment

To get away from it all

Look up in the night sky

You can see

STARLIGHT

This December Night

When the Ice turns to Diamonds

And Earth is virgin white

The Reborn Star burns bright

I Know

You’re over

The Sales and the Stores

The Traffic and Waiting

And the Crowd’s Endless Roar

So relax a while

Build a fire and smile

You will see

STARLIGHT

In your children’s eyes

In the crackle of unwrapping

And their smiles of surprise

You will see

STARLIGHT

And you will remember

What it’s all for

A Family Gathering for one who’s just been born.

Remember this December

Through the noise, rush and cold

That even if your gifts

Aren’t all Frankincense and Gold

We can all see

STARLIGHT

--K.K. (Merry Christmas 2009!)
