Must We Part ?

My brother Ron has taken a turn for the worse and is in the hospital. Everyone wants me to not bring him home.

Must We part ?

Oh my wonderful brother
Has the time come to part
I have loved you like no other
Your journey home to start.

To most you left 3 years ago
To me you have never left
No more friends came to and fro
A few who came and wept.

Your smiling face I’ll see no more
Blue eyes will no longer shine
Life’s cruel uneven score
The gift of you no longer mine.

Must we part ?
Dear God I pray
Oh my broken heart
This is a dreaded day .

I’ve done all I can , my spirits worn
I’ve done all I can , I’m so forlorn
I’ve done all I can , My heart is torn
I’ve done all I can , Oh how I mourn .
So long Ron . I love you . Luke

I've always said, I make my own choices and live with the consequences - good or bad. I try not to let other influence my thinking, especially when I know I'm right.

This is a powerful poem - choices, choices, choices.

Blessed is the heart that missess a loved one.

I like this composition... It is a sad one, but its inspiration is glorious... "Must We Part?" sings to love and family.

I salute You, Poet.

I admiration,
