One of my favorite past times. Time at the camp

Camp Breakfast

Morning fire warms the camp

As old woodstove drives back the damp

Cooking breakfast by rustic lamp

To the table we all scamp.

Crispy bacon cooked all brown

Buttery pancakes to gulp down

Maple Syrup enough to drown

Tastes so good we seldom frown

Nothing beats a good camp meal

Satisfaction ,no gourmet appeal

Warmth in your belly you can feel

Time for a nap so your soul can heal .

Oatmeal is favorite camping food for me to make. Did make it for Cousin Paul who is deceased now over at his cabin on the river at Middletown, PA. HE DID NOT LIKE OATMEAL BUT ATE MINE AND SAID IT WAS VERY GOOD. Things we do at camp are things we would not do at home.
