WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME ?

I've just lost my brother Rog.

Why Didn’t You Call Me ?

You would always call me

Together we would hash it out

Together we could maybe see

A way to remove the doubt

Why didn’t you call me ?

Why leave and break my heart ?

Why expect me to try and see ?

Why from this world you had to part ?

You told me that you loved me

Those were your last words on the phone

I didn’t know what was meant to be

Now your gone, oh God I moan

Forgive him, I love him so

Forgive him he didn’t know

Forgive him I miss him so

Forgive him did he have to go ?

Larry, I could have written this about my sister. There will always be questions that haunt us, and "what ifs?" But I know, as you pointed out in another of your poems, love is unconditional.
Thanks for sharing this.

Heartbreaking write...difficult when questions plague the mind and the heart and there seems to be no answers.

Another rejection poem, and quite good and very well presented. We are most sad when rejected but get over it and tune into the world again and try harder.

So much agony, questions, self-doubt and pain, yet so heartfully written and shared....

Be always safe,
Karen
