Some times we take the people most dear to us for granted. These are thoughts about my partner in life.
|
It is morning
Cool and damp
I'm just awaking
Here at the camp
Up I arise
Out for a walk
Quiet woods I apprise
I don't have to talk
Alone with a thought
Thank God I'm alive
Think of battles I've fought
My wife at my side
My mind wanders
back over the years
She has grown stronger
As she's conquored her fears
A young country girl
With heart strong and pure
Gifted me with a pearl
With all her allure
She's stood by my side
Through thick and thin
In her arms I abide
A warm glow from within
You see goals I set high
And years I worked long
Her always there,hardly a sigh
It wasn't her song.
Our hearts became one
As we toiled along
As together we won
And both became strong.
Yes life ia a moment
And soon it is past
Good times together
Never do last.
Are souls are intwined
Until heaven above
My life here enshrined
With the gift of her love.
A mother ,a wife
A woman so strong
She's given her life
To help me along.
I can never repay
The gift of her life
What more can I say
Lord,I love my wife.
