A Warrior in Heaven
I talked to him just last week
A friend for many years.
A loss that makes me weak
Respected by all his peers.
A friend I can’t replace
A servant of the Lord.
In a moment of time and space
He fell on death’s awful sword.
I’m sad at his demise
Another of life’s cruel twists
It should come as no surprise
As God goes down His List.
It was time to bring him home
Our loss our Saviour’s gain.
Jr’s family’s all alone
As they deal with the pain.
Grief we all must bear
As loved ones pass away
Although we shed a tear
God must have his way.
A warrior in Heaven
Is our Masters gain
At any time or season
He can send His Holy Train.
Have your ticket ready
Accepted from His Son.
My friend's faith was steady
His earthly battles won.
