I wrote this poem after an argument with my wife.

Forgive Me

Forgive me Lord for I am weak

I’m full of anger as we speak

When we met she was so fine

We were married I made her mine.

Years now gone love has faded

Worked so hard my heart is jaded

Now I’m tired I want to leave

How will I find my reprieve?

Early years she was so kind

Now I think she’s lost her mind

Back then the best I could find

Now love has fallen far behind.

Forgive me Lord for I am weak

Full of sorrow as we speak

I love her so, what do I do?

Help me Lord to make it through.

Love is a heart out on loan

Your heart no longer your very own

But trusted to another’s care

Forever hoping they’ll be there.

I pray dear Lord she’ll understand

Our hearts are wrapped with silken strand

Tied together for evermore

Lord keep us from Satan’s door.

A very touching poem. It lays bear the struggles to maintain harmony in the midst of swirling emotions and different perspectives. I believe you found the key to discharge the explosions, "Forgive me Lord".

IF ONLY EVERY PERSON WHO HAS AN ARGUMEMENT WITH THEIR SPOUSE WOULD TURN TO THE LORD IN PRAYER...THERE'D BE MUCH LESS SEPARATIONS AND DIVORCES. A POWERFUL AND TIMELY 'MESSAGE'. WELL DONE AND THANKS FOR SHARING, LOVE AND BLESSINGS, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
