Biding my time in this crazy ole world, drinking and smoking and dying.
I laugh when I can with a few of my friends, it beats the hell out of crying.
Every day the news is the same, the only change is the faces.
Tearing us down with little white lies, truth hides in the strangest of places.
So I work ten hours and say amen, go home and kiss the wife.
Insurance hikes ate my last raise, but man ain't this the life.
I drink too much on the week-ends, trying to ease my mind.
Praying and drinking and smoking and dying, LORD I'm just biding my time.
