I watched Neda Die Again Today
Forced to, really
Ghost Hunters was a repeat

A hundred and fifty channels and nothing to watch
but Neda die again today

Fox is kinder than CNN
They blur her face. you don't see her
tracking her death's chronicler
dispassionate, resigned
Just before the blood bursts from her mouth
Then nostrils

Does she know? I think she knows

Think Jason and the boys can hunt down Neda's ghost,
or is that GHI's perview?

Thing is, TAPS might document evidence of the paranormal
But do they put the tortured soul to rest?

I can't hide from Neda's Ghost
Not behind mullahs' skirts
Nor in some dark dry well with the Fifth Imam
No soaring words of Real Politik behind White House Walls
And Rose Garden chique blots out Neda's ghost

No, I'm stuck watching Neda die again today

I'll probably watch her die again tomorrow
