Wire cages lined with sad lonely faces, he was found here a short time ago and granted a reprieve from death row's grip.
The others feel gladness for those who go free and wish them well on their trip, but the pain and anguish that they feel, is much like being on a sinking ship.
To wait with no love for death to com, should be an experience which no one should have to succumb.
But they are not human, so who really cares? It's not like they are people, say those who are ignorant and unaware.
They feel pain, love, rejection, and hurt, they aren't just dumb creatures who stick their noses in dirt. They rejoice, they smile, they laugh they cry, should they be condemned, because they aren't like you or I?
Yes, it was here that a reprieve was granted, and he was found, a lonely forgotten forlorn little pup, in a ruthless dog pound.

Every piece of Your works that I read, I thank Mother Poet for having me here in the time and sublimity of this author.
I have enjoyed the reading of "The Pound".
In admiration and gratitude,
