As I look into your smiling brown eyes,
I see my past flash in my old disguise.
A time when things were exciting and new,
Everything perfect, like my time now with you.

Your love is so open, so endless and pure,
You share it quite openly, no pain to endure.
You love unconditionally, without hesitations,
Only wanting my time, without reservations.

Your hugs and kisses with expressions of love,
Change my mood quickly, and I start thinking of,
How you light up my life and make things okay,
Especially when home at the end of each day.

Your eyes are wide open and looking to learn,
Protecting you from life’s harm, my only concern.
I just want you to be happy in all that you do,
