This actually happened in South Louisiana -We had not had rain in two or more months and the weather was unbearable -Everything dried up and we lost some of our huge trees

                             A   Day  In  June

The heat, the heat, we drag our feet

No rain as yet in sight

All wish to take to flight

The flowers drop  their heads

They appear as if they're dead

The animals are in hiding

Looking for a place for lying

Birds fly away to cooler places

The trees are dry and lifeless

There is no breeze to stir the leaves

Please God provide the means
