Who's rooting for you?
|
Rudeness and disrespect,
Are what people show one another.
The devil cheers them on.
Angry people,
Fight everyday.
The devil cheers them on.
People in the cities,
Kill each other off.
The devil cheers them on.
Witnesses are scared silent,
While evil men roam the streets.
The devil cheers them on.
Countries warring,
People dying.
The devil cheers them on.
Monsters with carnal desires,
Stalk young children.
The devil cheers them on.
Corrupt and wealthy people of power,
Keep the rest in poverty.
The devil cheers them on.
Politicians lie and prosper
While constituents lose and suffer.
The devil cheers them on.
People must look
At the actions they take.
For if the Devil cheers them on,
They are working for him
And building his kingdom of Hell
Here on Earth.

Preach it brother. Once again a powerful write. Have you ever read C.S. Lewis's The Screw Tape Letters? You'd love it. It's about a senior demon who is teaching his underling demons how to trap a man into losing his soul. Funny and oh so incredibly true.
