Oh! that one...unforgetable, so sad it ended so soon when the heart was furiously knocking on the chest's walls trying to get out; when we felt something warmth crawling all over our sking; when we wished our lips could melt together for ever and ever and ever...

Wandering through the dry leaves,
promises that Autumn has thrown,
like all those love letters we kept
to remain us, maybe we had love.

Man or woman will keep the papers
once in white, now wearing brown,
rereading all those so tender lines
from a special one that for you wrote.

For ever they will be in heartís drawer
where they keep all lovesome words,
remembering each touch of the hands
remembering how sweet all it was.

But thenÖit was that kiss on the lips,
fearful searching for affection, yet soft,
lies and promises where forgotten then,
love was on you heart, thatís because.

That kiss will be never forgotten in time
even when you knew that you where not
the chosen one and wouldnít ever be,
but that kiss burned you heart to the core.

A kiss is not just a kissÖitís a moment
where time ran out from all the clocks,
so tight embraced as to become one, when
total surrender doesnít turn into a bad word.

Close your eyes and remember that kiss,
no one afterward will be like "it" was.

There is one kiss that stands out in my memory - the first time I kissed my [now] husband. Lordy but my toes even curled. His kisses still "light my fire." I'm one lucky lady.

I've just pictured Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr in that epic beach kiss in From Here to Eternity. That's about how long a kiss such as you describe lasts.
