In memory of my Mother whose birthday is March 18th.

We miss her more as the years go by
Time has not healed our pain
Memories still bring a tear to our eye
Our love for Mama will never wane.

She looked to God for all her strength
To bless her children with love and care
And wisdom to teach us right from wrong
Never to be selfish and always share!

The family worship hour we knew well
Each night when chores were done
Stories from the Bible she would read,
Prayers were said and hymns were sung!

In her travels, a stranger she never met
There is good in everyone she often said
Young and old alike they were the same
No matter from whence they came.

She was our Mama but also our friend
We looked to her in many ways,
On her advice we could always depend
To guide us through all our days!

Mama’s birthday will soon be here
No party planned; no ice cream or cake.
We miss her more each passing year
A beautiful angel she must surely make!

Oh what a lovely tribute to your Mother! I miss my Mom too, and like you not a day goes by that I don't think about her. I am eternally grateful to her for guiding me into the person I've become. Good job Pearl. I really do enjoy your writing.

So glad you suggested I read this write. It is amazingly comforting to me. My mother passed away of a brain tumor age 83 in 1992 and is gone so long, but I still long for her and abide by her principles. She was a great mother to me. Your writing helps me tremendously. Thanks again for the encouragement.

I'm sorry so sorry but know she is always there beside you. I know how much I miss my dad. I don't know what it'd be like w/out my mom.
I mean not to distract from your heart warming and heart breaking as well tribute to a beautiful Angel...
I think, and this is my way, as my little dog was being taken, We sang happy birthday to him and I was thinking about it afterwards and that is the perfect song to sing.
