In Memory of Dad's birthday. He passed away 30 years ago. We still miss him so very much.

Our Dad, a mason by trade
Many a block and brick he laid,
To care for his wife and children of five,
Our memory of him is very much alive.

February 15th. the day of his birth
Seventy-one years he was on this earth.
He labored and toiled with his hands,
But he never traveled to distant lands.

He loved to sing the hymns of old,
And lots of his experiences he told.
He was so wise in many ways,
We didn't understand in our younger days.

We still miss him as the days go by
His absence sometimes makes us cry.
To wish him back to what has been,
Would be wrong in this world of sin.

He is in a far better land,
Singing songs with the Angel Band.
Joining family and friends gone on before
Never to labor and toil no more.

Each passing year, for us is very hard,
We cannot send a gift or card,
But cherish all the years we had,
To celebrate your birthday, "DAD".

He is always and will be always in your heart. Sounds as if he was a cherished Dad. My father died at age 64 on his birthday March 23, 1972. Mothers was March 25, 08 and she died at age 83 on June 28, 1991. They are there with your Father's birth and up in the heavens with him too. This is nice to do for his birthday too.

Dearest Pearl
We all share this suffering of living; and if we haven't yet, we will.
I can't imagine the devastation of losing a parent, but will remember love like yours when those unimaginable days come. Thank you for sharing the depth of your feelings; and know we all are united in this path of life... and its flipside!
May love continue to shine eternal; and it Does! Breath on Pearl!

It is a blessing to be gifted with a poem like this. It stimulates respect for the family, (SOMETHING AMERICANS ARE FORGETTING.) and gives one the touching of togetherness.

Blessed are those that honor their family.

Enjoyed this beautiful composed poem to honor a loved one.

May your days be healthy and blissful, poet, and may you "DAD" smile at you always through his cosmological energies.
