Become a Fan

Angels in Scrubs

Angels of mercy with wings invisible

soothe the suffering and comfort the dying

Hold hands with the fearful and wash the odiferous.

Each charge they hold in hands so gentle.

Each day a new challenge, each minute might be

the last, so they make sure that each moment is golden.

Tomorrow a new face , yet under the scrubs

are wings full of mercy, and hearts full of love.

I have worked with many nurses down through the years, as a physical assistant, nurses aide, developmental aide and home-care aide, and this is a heart-warming, and well-deserved tribute to all their service. Jesus forever remembered nurses when he gave us the parable of the good Samaritan. God bless all nurses for their selfless devotion and may He use your poem to express the often unspoken praises of countless humanity. ~Z
