reflections

Wake up the day! Wash the sleep from your face
Wake up and smile, let the world see what they want
Never the dark sadness that is yours to live be seen
Let the sadness sleep inside your skin
Instead let the joy that is a lie shine strong
Make the world a brighter place.
And hope that no one ever knows the truth!
Tragedy is but a whisper away.
And sometimes the love feels even further
Yet we carry on, hoping for the best.
And in truth it is but a sad refrain from reality,
Like rum is but a sad step from vodka
We often do not deserve the love
We have plotted and planned, causing
Lies to our mind and consequences to our souls
We blunder into the place of judgment…..
How will we do, I wonder ?

Sometimes our lives are dictated by others when we are children. When that happens, the tears of the soul will never stop, and the scars will never heal. When a mother grabs a hold of your heart and clenches it tightly, you just feel like you are going to die, but yet you carry on for some unknown reason.

Is this unknown reason a part of God's plan for those of us who have been abused? Is it our lot in life to suffer in the flesh to be taken home one day and live in peace with our Father God and our brother Jesus?

Whatever it is, the wisdom of this piece is definitely hard for some of us to follow. You know it is strange though. I can counsel others and help heal their suffering, but I cannot heal my own soul. I wonder why that is? Don Williams said it best in his song Some Broken Hearts Never Mend.

"Some broken hearts never mend,
some memories never end,
some tears will never dry,
my love for you will never die."

My love for my mother will never end, but my heart will never mend and my bittersweet memories will never end because they bring the tears that will never dry.

You give very wise advice here Sandi, but it is so hard for some of us to follow.

May the Lord Bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister Barbie.

Life is what we choose to make of it, and how much we are willing to try. Wonderful piece of solace and truth...

Be always safe,
