A poem of a broken girl

If only you had heard her cry; heard her cry
If only you had heard her scream
Then maybe she would be
Still alive

Her mind is broken and empty inside
Sheís lost all truth
She knows only pain
Her battle is lost
Itís her holocaust
Her fight is done
But she hasnít won
Sheís giving in
To the demons in her head
She wanted to be free
But you let her be
You didnít see the warning signs
You didnít comfort her when she cried
And now sheís gone insane
The voices scream at her
They wonít let her be
Her chains pull tighter
This is whatís happened

To your angel:

Your angel has fallen to the ground
Your angel is running low on fuel
Your angel is fighting with herself
Your angel is losing tonight

And she dies
And she cries
Oh, she cries

Your angelís battle is lost
She lost to her mind
And her mind made her cry
Doesnít it pain you to know
You could have helped

Your angel might still be alive
Had you only
Heard her cry
You angel might have been set free
If you had only heard her scream

Your angel has lost the fight!
Your angelís blood spills tonight!

This is sad but very compelling, Reyanna. Sometimes, we just don't want to hear. Thank you for sharing. Love and peace,

Reyanna,

If only they'd listened...a powerful, powerful thought provoking write of what might have been had they heard her cries and did something about it. Thank you for your words today, Poet!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
