The all life certainty

Shriveled, faded, forsaken,
still she smiled; but at
the end my faith was shaken.
The stigma disease had
taken my friend--and
she without sin.

Shivering within at the
cruel injustice, walking
the cold, bleak landscape
symbolic of my life
without her, I fell to
my knees in dried-dead
weeds and dirty snow,
crying... "Oh God,
I need to know that
she will live again.

And then ... peeking from
the mud, pushing through
in that very hour, barely
visible beneath a brittle
stock that, too, was once
a flower... a tiny feathery
leaf of new-born green.

Doubt curtain lifting,
frosted heart melting,
my mind stopped churning.
Through misty eyes His
promise seen. I was
suddenly as certain
as of another spring!

Very striking imagery in "Another Spring". Subject dealt to neat picture; and emotions poemized naturally.

I salute You, Poet.

This brought tears to my eyes. Your words show the wavering and fragile emotions of one who is dealing with loss, yet also beautifully and poignantly shares of life...
Our son died in spring, but as we left the hospital spring came alive to me--The promise of life renewed... I will evermore love spring as its coming reminds me of rebirth and my son.
