IN MEMORIAM

In memory of a loved one
who has preceded you,
offer your prayers and flowers;
pay tribute to the ending of
days on earth-- but without
undue sadness, remembering
that the dreaded passing
also purports gladness, a
graduation-- one step up
in the natural, gradual
progression to brighter light
and higher curriculum,
