I love the inspired writings of the Apostle Paul: He doesn't mince words. His love and reverence for our Triune God shines with directness.
These days, nothing is held back by our news media, especially TV. It is, therefore, expedient for us to be careful what goes through the "eye" gate, for our thoughts can be affected.

Rein-in Those Thoughts
Whoa there
You troublesome thoughts
Wayward be ye no more
‘Tis time to focus on love and joy
Peace and goodness
Kindness and gentleness
Faithfulness and patience
But best of all on self-control
For these are the Fruit of the Spirit
Thinking on them when eye-gates get tempted
Will for certain rein in those
Wayward, troublesome thoughts!

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true ,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise,
think on these things.”
[Philippians 4:8]

Takes me right to the mantra on my bio page, Lena:
"What I focus upon becomes reality. I have the power to choose."

The devil loves it when I choose poorly or don't choose at all and let everything come flowing without discretion. If we don't censor our choices, it's a quick trip down the wrong road.

A great reminder!

Richard

Amen, Sister. Yes it is surprising what you see these days on light night TV. But each of us has a switch.
God bless,

This is a job, which you've done here, H. Lena. Spread God's word dear, just keep on spreading it, you will be blessed.
