The Thread Of Life

THE THREAD OF LIFE

(Psalm 34:1-22)

The thread of life has sewn me close

Unto the God I serve

And though the holes worn in my soul

Revealed my shaken my nerves

I did not hate the ups and downs

The twist and turns that came

A tear or two but still I knew

To call upon His name

And yes there were the silent times

The distance of His touch

A question asked, an answer not

But still I dared to trust

For I perceived it was a chance

For faith to grow in me

For everything I read about

To now be what I need

Because He said His ear is near

To those who make the call

Distresses though they come to pass

Delivers He from all

So now I hold onto to the quilt

From patches of my life

For they became the binding tie

That gave unto me right

And though the needle piercing me

Drew pain upon a time

It also pulled the thread of life

That gave me peace of mind

Rita,
Beautiful and inspirational. This should be read by all.

Simply Rita, this is Simply Beautiful. It's easy to see you have been walking with God for awhile.
Even the "famous" saints whose stories are recorded in the Bible had holes in their lives, and times when God seemed distant. To hold fast, believe and continue to call on His Name as you have is the way of wisdom and deliverance.
Love,
Connie
