A new day dawns and I'm awake
Another wretched story breaks
Tales of hunger, woe and war
Such so that I can't take much more

I vacillate between two modes
A breaking heart and a warrior's code
The peaceful spirit who resides within
Can't help but sense injustice's sin

While others in slumber sleep
I cannot help but know and weep
The time has come, the day is now
The way is clear, we DO know how

Enough I say, rise up and speak
Enough, enough, we are not weak
In numbers we are wise and strong
We can't afford to get this wrong

I am one but we are many
voices heard, where there isn't any
Who shall speak for those being silenced
By bombs, and death and other violence?

We can celebrate diversity
and overcome adversity
We have enough for each and all
and must take stock or risk it all

I never thought I'd come to see
The anarchist inside of me
But here she is to take a stand
To speak of truth, for good of man

Our world depends on conscious thought
It cannot be who has and not
The universal laws prevail
If we don't change, then we have failed

The time is now, lest we be late
Too many suffer, whilst we hesitate.
