Started this one a ways back and recently touched it up.

I caught a glimpse;
His appearance glistened
Stardust loosed amongst
Quivering pines.

He stood, laughing eyes
Puncturing the cloud
Of anonymity
I had been
Drifting upon.
His gawp intruded
Silently and just dangled

Betwixt the firs we
Walked not a word
To be spoken; but lips
Pursed with a thousand questions.
He grabbed hold my hand
By the tarnished effigy;
An angel with but one wing

Finally he cried to the night
“From whence did such fairness come?”
I had no counter for
This question asked,
It seemed directed to
The crippled cement creature
Gazing down upon me
With vacant eyes.

For shame it seemed
Had crept amongst my heart;
I possessed no reasons
For my ramblings
Save the echo within myself.

But there amongst the ragged trees,
He took hold my hands,
An every weary frame.
We commingled there
He shimmered, I shivered
And as two, we walked
Into the night.
