Words From This Mountain
Words from this mountain
whisper, softly on the wind.
Quietly, like padded feet on
warm stones, as a red wolf
walks along a creek bank.
Whispers from these hills
sing, like a forest
of raindrops in springtime.
Dripping, from trees
to bring new life to
the forest floor.
Songs from this mountain
Echo, across the deep hollows
and float over the valley
and are heard by those
who live beside the river.
Echos from this place
sound, the history of
those who walked here,
lived here, died here, long
before our ancestors
arrived here.
Sounds from this mountain
whisper songs from the past
that echo in the night
and fade away into the dark.

...words of poetry...beautifully written...in the nature...of one of listens for their whispers...even when darkness abounds.
very well done Chuck...
