Kiss From A Toxic Heart

A match in perfect unity,
Made to precise desires,
Tailored to desperate needs.
Early charm served as fuel,
Igniting a passionate flame.
We lived and died together,
Taking each other's breath.
We symbolized one another,
Standing for sincere love.

Falling, you split my heart,
Drowning happiness beneath,
A rugged core of emotion.
Forced into a darkness,
Blind sorrow pierces me.
Alone to my awakened sense,
Bears a stark reality that I fell---
For a kiss from a toxic heart.

This is a striking write....I think you have penned something here that many will probably relate to and you have done it superbly. I love the balance you have included within both stanzas...this speaks volumes and I love it. Panda :)

ouch...a love that seems so perfect hurts the worse when it falls

powerful heart breaking write
but so many in life are tempted by the untrue
you cannot know.....unless you try...what a shame
but such is the nature of relationships
