A common ailment in the church today!

GOING THRU THE MOTIONS

Going thru the motions while playing it by ear
Pretending that you're Holy, yet holding little, dear

Answering to the world instead of His Word
Acting like you're scared when saying you're assured.

Standing in the pews, singing in the choir
Proponing the truth, yet reveling in sin's mire

Counting on the law, accounting morals little
Seeking technicalities, hoping for acquittal

Speeding down the road, avoiding the narrow way
Allying with the Devil, choosing night over day

Living in darkness, shunning His healing light
Pretending to care, but doing nothing for their plight

These are the symptoms of a fatal illness outbreak
Choosing self over the Jesus and His commands

to forsake

So, take the Word as your medicine, get back on your knees
Before you come to a painful end; from a common but dangerous,

deadly disease.

They will appear to have a Godly life, but they will not let its power change them.

How True,,,How True. Check out my site and read 'Walking Through the Wasteland' as I am sure you can relate. Blessings...Frances

Sadly, every "church" has these hypocrites. Saturday night - get drunk, beat the wife, beat the kids, have a mistress or mister. Go to church on Sunday - being holier than thou. His power is the answer, do not fake it - He knows the difference. Powerful write.
