FREEDOM

A herd of wild pigs came near a farm one sunny summer day
The farmer decided it would be real nice if they never went away
He got up early and took down some fence so the pigs could easily go thru
Then placed some corn there on the ground to see what they would do
They came again that afternoon and soon found the food there on the ground
The farmer watched from afar as they ate the slop and happily rooted around
He placed a section of the fence behind the food pile the following afternoon
The pigs were curious but there seemed no threat and were enjoying their new found boon
They came every day and stayed longer each time ignoring the fences that now were three
The farmer got closer with every passing day, but made sure the pigs still felt free
When he added the fourth fence with an open gate, he stood there as the pigs went in to eat
Then he shut the gate as they busily fed all his plans were finally complete
The pigs were shocked when they couldn't get out and pushed each other up against the walls
But the fence was firm and the posts sunk deep and they soon gave up their paltry pitiful calls
They'd forgotten how to forage anyway and the farmer brought the free corn and water every day
So they settled into their life of captivity, not even realizing their freedom had been subtly stolen away.
The moral of this woeful tale, should be taken seriously by every American in our land of freedom
Our government is spreading "free corn" in the form of supplemental income-tax credit for unearned income
tobacco subsidies-dairy subsidies-paying NOT to plant crops-medicine--drugs and taking care of the poor
We are losing our freedoms a little at a time, as we do less and the government does more and more
There is no free lunch, and no one can provide a service cheaper than we can for ourselves do
This election seek to know if there's one ready to slam the gate, on the freedoms we hold dear and true .
Remember our Freedom is not free and has with many lives been dearly bought
And a government big enough to give you everything, is one that can also take away everything  you've got!

Prov. 6:6-11

Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, which having no captain,
Overseer, or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.
How long will you slumber, Oh sluggard?  When will you rise from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep--so shall your
poverty come on you like a prowler, and your need like an armed man.

Footnotes: New Spirit Filled Life Bible
The industrious insect's instincts shames lazy humanity!
It condemns the sluggard's passivity, lack of initiative, the habit of procrastination
obliviousness to the dire results, and subtle manipulations, and a lack of discipline.

Comment: Reads almost like a parable...but has quite a relevant impact...
