A memory of a historic day
It Had to Be
It had to be, on such a perfect day,
Where Autumn played some Summer make-believe
And sent blue skies and puffy clouds our way.
It had to be, but could my mind deceive?
The dreariness of winter weather past,
A day God made to comfort and relieve.
It had to be, as people came and cast
Decisions that, like bells in morning breeze,
Delivered sounds and echoes made to last.
It has to be, a moment we must seize,
Uniting every neighbor, every friend,
To multiply our joys, and burdens ease.
It has to be, a newer day attend…
A new beginning toward a brighter end.

|We all have different voices, opinions and feelings; however...I do believe that no matter who chose whom...that we are in for a unity that we haven't had in quite sometime. nice. lindalaw|

Even though I didn't vote for Barack Obama, he was elected to be our next President. What a history making event! What I loved seeing on the TV after the announcement was made is everyone gathered together. TOGETHER. All races. All beliefs. Celebrating the beginning of (I pray) better days ahead. May our Nation rise again to its former glory; I pray for him to be a wise leader.
Beautifully said, my (((friend))).
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
