a poem about time ..................................

In My Spare Time, I Waste Time.

With no time to spare,

I run my fingers

through the wisps

of my  remaining hair.

I live a mural of cafe,

caffeine-misted

day dreams.

Thoughts that trickle

like a slow-moving

late summer stream.

I reason this is a suspension

of time.

Until I hear

the rude assertion

of a clicking clock's

chime.

Doug,

Very nice. I found myself comfortable in your daydream.

There is nothing wrong with daydreaming, do it all the time. Such a delightful read. Enjoyed.

Be safe,
