The years have been long, the memories longer. Can you remember going door-to-door to get Candy? Does it make you long for the next life?

Once so feared an Enemy,
Now almost a personal friend;
So many now taken,
And life routine.
A defeat,
Now appearing as victory;
After a battering day.

Can One be scared
After a life of hard work.

The Miser can have the burden,
Captured by the daily cares;
As I surrender again,
To the joys of release.
It comes time for Halloween,
And the ghouls will be out;
None seeing the glory.
