You know who you are
And how much I cherish
Your friendship and faithful presence
In my life.
Merry Christmas/ Happy Hanukkah
I hung the wreath,
A little kissing
On the nose.
I hummed along
To ‘Midnight Clear’
My heart replete
With Christmas cheer.
I draped the tree
With bells and cane
The scent of pine
Left its refrain.
I placed Joseph & the Virgin
One, on either side
Of the manger with Baby Jesus
Lying swaddled deep inside.
I paused then, to offer up
My praise and adulation
To Father GOD in heaven
For Christ and my Salvation.
I took the cookies
Hot from the oven
Recalling the jingle
Nothin’ says lovin‘
Just like the aroma
That fills the air
Around every table,
Upon every chair!
For the Spirit of Christmas
Has entered the hearts
And lit-up the eyes
Of the seniors and tots!
For where the Spirit of Christmas
Will make Himself known -
‘Tis the place where miracles happen,
It has been shown!
Yea, the Spirit of Christmas
Abiding- in-heart can astound:
For that is the place
Where true faith can be found.
I lifted my glass into the air
and thanked the LORD above
For family, friends, and miracles
..all found within His love.
Who makes us glad
with the yearly remembrance of the birth
of Thine only Son Jesus Christ,
Grant us, that as we joyfully receive Him for our Redeemer,
even so, we may with sure confidence,
behold Him when He shall come to be our Judge;
He who lives and reigns with Thee and the Holy Ghost,
one GOD, world without end . Amen.

|What wonderful scenes you bring to mind...
I love the warmth of this bright cheery Christmas poem!
And then the finale--the Spirit-filled prayer that so beautifully magnifies the grown-up, crucified, risen Christ seated in the heavenlies, and coming again!
As for the formatting, I wish I could understand how words I arrange so carefully on the AD Add Works page come out in various forms and sizes--I hope they can improve it soon.
Well, it's Christmas time -- "God bless us everyone!"
