As summer is running away,
It does not help that I want it to stay...
 

I tally up my checkbook, and sigh,
Because these crazy gas prices make me want to cry!
 

Although my mortgage payment is due,
I will have to wait a week, won't you?
 

The bill collectors call & call,
I want to bang my head against the wall!
 

My Son is back to school,
Ever wanting to look really cool.
I get that this is kinda the norm
However... I just want him to be warm.
 

So as I try to "coast" to work today,
I will look at the beauty and people along the way.
 

As I reluctantly arrive at my work
I suddenly have this powerful quirk!
 

I am healthy...I have a job....My Son is healthy...& We have God.
 

When I think about other people's courage & might
I absolutely have to shrink my own plight!
 

So as we struggle to make it day to day...
Don't forget to take time to play...
 

Don't forget to take in the beauty along your way.
And never...ever forget to humbly give thanks & pray!
