He does not mind
That the mind
Tears at words
Sounding the streets
Of North Beach Poets
Looking outside a window
Looking as if
The idea of tomorrow
Is already in the past
That the here and now
Is being recorded
That the evening hour
Is disappearing
In the mirror
Behind the red
Lipstick impressions
Pressed upon
This very moment.
