Can a heart truly break from the bonds of this earth, and does a key really exist. |

|
Breaking out from captivity,
my heart flutters free
Its paper thin wings,
flicker in the breeze
As it runs from the bars,
I have been given to keep
It flitters away,
from outstretched arms
Gently reaching for,
high flying heart
Locked away from each,
and from myself
Its small golden key,
lost in eternity
It flits and floats
forever seeking
I have lost my heart
and can find it no more
For it died with you
and yet was set free
From cast iron bars
on my fleshy door
Now it floats on
love's silver wings that tremble
And waver and threaten to break
As I stand below
waiting for fate
To cause fragile to crack
and tumble down into the
Trap of outstretched arms
to rest and reside
Behind hidden doors
bared with horrid cold steel
Waiting, waiting for a
small golden key
That is with another
hidden from view
For now at peace
my heart still beats
In its stony cold seat
So come my key and restore
My heart to love's happy state.

Wonderful write telling all too well the longing heart that beats aloud, yet still is silent in its comings.

| Wonderful depiction of love that was lost and is longed for still, yet in its longing the key is out their waiting to be discovered when it opens your heart to love again. |
