|A longing, lingering memory of how short life is and the thought that we should have the vision of the eagle in our hindsight. You are really in the spirit with this one.

|Feels like a moving away from turbulence. Strength is now in reserve, perhaps, for the eagle to venture forth. Love the first verse especially, Richard. Love and hugs,

|Life is but a vapour, isn't it? How important it is, therefore, to love one another, do good, think pure thoughts, keep God's Commandments, and so leave a positive legacy. Thank you, Richard. Another excellent write.

|Richard, this is a great form of writing, reminding me of the style of some of the old church hymns from a long time ago. Excellent write!

|Wrought with panache;
read aloud, as it ought to be,
this work glows and flows, a stream
elegant and haunting.
It's good to see you posting again,
i missed your great pen.

|A lilting lovely poem, Chum,and the Eagle is a favorite of mine. I painted a similar oil,facing the other way, a bit larger,and sold it in one of my first "Poor Artist" paintings;-) It was $125.00 of the sweetest dollars I ever earned!It was many years ago,but I should have stayed with my painting,I might have improved,and continued with it...|
