Waterfalls

Not far from where I live is a beautiful state park where there is a waterfall. When you stand looking up you do not see the stream above but it is there. It announces this by sending the water down over the rocks to splash on the rocks below. I watch this and find myself lured into a wonderful state of peace. God created that stream just as he created me. His work is not yet done. I want to help.

Water rumbling over the falls is rushing to the stream below.
I stand in the glade watching its rush causing a mist through which I can see the suns wondrous glow.

The water keeps coming and as it lands upon the stream in constant and rushing motion
It makes much the same sound as the sea although we are nowhere near the ocean.

The water keeps coming as it dances at the bottom upon the stones.
The rocks cry out and if you listen you can surely hear their moans.

The stream is a never ending current which keeps rolling downward to fall.
It almost drowns out natures other sounds including the birds that call.

One cannot see where the water comes from as you stand below looking above.
It reminds me that there are many things unseen such as Gods eternal love.

Although we cannot see the water coming we know it is on its way.
This is true of the love of the Son of God who stands with us every day.

So be ye not afraid to believe in things you cannot see.
Though they are unseen this does not mean they cannot be.

God’s love is the living water that sustains life within our heart.
If we accept this living water willingly when his kingdom comes we shall be a part.
