A trip worth taking. I listed my poem in history because This was an experience that happened to me a few years ago just after the death of my son, an only child.
You are gone
So they say
But I was told a different story
I was shown
By the way
And caught up into glory.
We stood together on a rainbow
I held your hand in mine
I heard you whisper low
'Don't worry mother, I am fine
I've found shelter in God's arms
He has forgiven much
He has kept me from all harm
So gentle is his touch
And Mom, He's so unlike what the world is seeing
Through distorted mind
I've never known such kinder being
Nor greater love for mankind.'
Then suddenly you faded
I tried to follow you
Throughout strange worlds I waded
Throughout universes flew
Then I became uncertain
At the universes end
Where I bounced against a curtain
Of which I could not enter in
Beneath the hemline a soft glow
Edged in sparkling light
Whiter than a Christmas snow
Falling throught the night.
God threw back the veil
I saw you on the other side
Alive and doing well
As if you had never died.
And, I wrapped inside a funnel
Of gently falling snow
Proceeded downward through a tunnel
Back to the world I know.
Later I came to know that the snow
was stars the stars of my starry passing

|A wonder filled write. The beauty of your insight of such a personal experience and trial could only be likened to the process of coal becoming a diamond. You turned pain into a brilliant light to help others.

|The testimony of your beloved son in the dream is more true than the limited perceptions of this world. To be allowed to see him and speak to him and fragments of the realm in which he exists now is an act of mercy by The Light, intended to give you peace of mind and enforce your belief in the infinite and compassionate power of The Light. This knowledge is in good hands with you. You have both the skill and will to share it with others who struggle with the same questions that used to haunt you. This world attempts to be overwhelming in all kinds of ways, but it is not. What is beyond it most definitely is. We will be part of that after our task is done. Writing this wonderful poem is part of that. Thank you for sharing your experience in an eloquent way.
