THE GATE - Things my Mother told me.
by Stan Law (aka Stanislaw Kapuscinski)
In Tennesse there is a mythical bird called the milomobird and this poem envisions it.
Find a mystic aviary weighted with
And soon you will see the Milomobird. He streaks through the sunset and with
He bends his beak backwards and sniffs
at his turd.
Then he floats in a circle as perfect
Chasing his ass end that waves in his
Murky milomobird then begins his repast
And sends painful chillings along
his white mass.
Bite! barks his instinct and bit it he
He snaps at his ass end and chews off
Easts his legs soft as pudding; eats
his stomach so tame;
Swallows his heart now; then savors
Milomobird, 'a myth' some declare
Easts himself backwards until he's
And how many artists, writers and poets,
Have been Milmobirds and ne'er have
Love On A Rotten Day
