You can "go" fly away like a beautiful white dove...

Don't walk away leaving me in this frame of mind
tease me with the warmth of your arms one more time.
Hold on to me for an hour or maybe even two
I need to absorb a broken promise you're about to do.

Don't you want to hold on to what we once had
why do you need to walk away leaving me sad?
Forget about your tomorrows and hold me tight
press your chest close to me for one more night.

Chorus:

You can "go" fly away like a beautiful white dove,
go seek the woman that you think you love.
Let me feel our love one more time in my heart,
before you leave me and your son and depart.
I won't beg you back or ask you to change your mind,
when you walk away, I'll know you're one of a kind.

I hate to see you walk away with "no" goodbyes,
we promised to be together until the day we die.
How can you shut the door and walk away,
leaving my heart and soul in such a disarray.

Our little boy will be sad, forlorn, and hurt too,
why not say goodbye to him as you should do?
I'll not ask you to stay where you feel "no" love,
you can "go" fly away like a beautfiul white dove.

Chorus:

How can you walk right out our door,
without letting me feel your love once more.
Allow reality to soak into my mind and soul,
then you'll be free to set out for you new goal.

Repeat Chorus

Bitter sweet in this potent love poem of love gone sour. All you need is a banjo and a guitar and Reba to sing this and you have a hit Country Western song.
