Come home, my darling, I wait for you...

The mountainous blustery winds attract my soul,
leaving passions and yearning in my being.
I call out into the deafening gusts,
seeking to hear his voice, feel his spirit.

I know he is out there, listening for my call,
welcoming me to his arms to caress and to love me.
Hold me like he did so many times in our lives,
a blending of our souls to strengthen our fervor and promise.

An affection stronger than the forces of powerful gusts,
lingers with intense cravings and aches in the pit of my core.
Come home, come home, my darling for I wait,
underneath our favorite pine trees atop the mountain.

The place where we first felt the intensity of our feelings,
mornings dew lay heavy on our bodies as the sun woke us.
He wiped the glistening dampness out of my hair,
kissed my warm lips until they stung from his desires.

I wait, my inner-self longs his warmness,
come, visit me in spirit, if for only a moment, time's long.
His spirit lingers and desires for me to come to him,
come, come visit me, if for only a moment.

Gusts hug my shoulders as though he is here,
a warmness heats my soul as I feel he is here by me.
Drops of rain allow me to know he is shedding tears,
knowing I'm here longing for him to come to my open arms.

I know he is out there waiting for my call,
beckoning his arms to caress and to love me.
Hold me like he did so many times earlier in our lives,
a blending of our souls strengthened our fervor and promise.

Come home, come home, my darling, I wait,
underneath our favorite pine trees atop the mountain.
My arms are opened, my heart beats of joy, I ache for your arms,
a touch on my breasts, a kiss on my forehead, a "I love you."

I know he is out there, wanting to stroke my face,
touch the softness of my flesh, feel the curls in my hair,
kiss the freshness of my moist lips, pull me against him,
feel the passions as we consummate our union again,
come home, come home, my darling, I wait.

The rain brushes against my face,
I feel the surge of the breeze against my body,
the tenderness of his spirit is within my soul,
knowing he is here with me, if for only a moment.

Come home, come home, my darling, I wait,
underneath the pines atop the mountain.
My arms ache to hold you one more time,
feel your chest nuzzle against mine,
come home, come home, my darling, I wait.

Almost a Song of Songs, Barbara! Such tenderness and eternal fire combined! Surely this is the stuff of soulmates... whose separation breeds despair and yet who truly experience "the tenderness of his spirit is within my soul", like an echo. Such restlessness and heart-thirst. The repetitions make me ache. Bless you, Kate xx

Barbara, this poem could have only been put in your heart by God and it is awesome! It is the kind of love that God speaks about often, loving one another as He has loved us and loves us. If we could get a glimps of that love in our minds and a piece of it in our hearts: Then the brotherhood of man would be complete. Thank you my Christian Sister. Peace!!!

To me this has the sweet longing sentiment of the Song of Solomon. The whole process is so mysterious, and it requires a kind of faith that oftentimes leaves us with nothing emotionally. Still ... we press on towards what beckons in our spirits - a place of exquisite beauty and love. Blessings ...
