I AM CALLED THE TRAVELING MAN...DONT STAY IN ONE PLACE LONG

ALWAYS ON THE MOVE...NO ONE PLACE DO I GET TO CALL HOME

SOME HAVE THOUGHT IT IS BECAUSE OF VIET NAM

A FEW EVEN THOUGHT FROM THE LAW I RAN

THERE ARE THOSE WHO THINK A LOVE HAD GONE BAD

WLL SAY THAT BEING WITH OUT LOVE DOES MAKE ME SAD

I DID NOT CHOOSE THIS LIFE...IT CHOSE ME

TO SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL OUR GREAT LAND CAN BE

i HAVE SEEN THE PURPLE MOUNTAINS AND THE LUSH GREEN VALLYS BETWEEN

THE GOLDEN FIELDS OF GRAIN THE PRETTIEST I HAVE EVER SEEN

THE GREAT SMOKIES IN THE EAST AND THE GRAND TETONS IN THE WEST

OTHER GREAT MOUNTAINS WHERE THE EAGLES NEST

EVERY WHERE I GO THERE IS MOTHER NATURE TO SEE

HER BEAUTY IS SOMETHING WE ALL AGREE

NOW WHEN YOU THINK OF THIS TRAVELING MAN

REALIZE I AM JUST ENJOYING ALL OF LIFE I CAN

I'd say you are very fortunate. To see all you do and appreciate it is a wonderful thing Ron! also being alone is not the same as being lonely. I treasure my solitude. Excellnet poem! Eileen

I know that gypsy spirit well. I know the spirit, the curiosity that compels some to travel but...I always look forward to home. It's the little things I miss when I travel...my art...my old chair and my bed...not to mention my family back in Savannah, a whole bunch.

Your poetry is like my grandfathers'. He never stayed too long in one place...always looking for something.

Great poem about the gypsy spirit, Ron.
