This is for my older Sister LeAnn and all she has done for me when i was little

Sister
She was there
My protector my friend
To young to be so old
Never seeing the hurt in her eyes
The one who acted as mother
When our mother was no where to be found
The one who took the fall
To protect me from getting hurt
Still teasing me like sisters do
But ready to fight
Knowing who to call and what to do
She always seemed so old
When I looked back
Raising a baby
When she was a baby her self
She was my idol
Never letting anyone hurt her it seemed
So strong
She was the one I turned to
But she had no one
Not right
To be a child raising
Someone else is children
Shielding my eyes
From what she saw
Never wanting me to see the darkness
So kind
But had been scared by the world
Not protected
By the ones who should have protected her
Instead fighting
My protector my friend
The one who stood strong
Holding my hand in the darkness of the world
Taken away from her
Was losing apart of myself
Watching her fall breaks my heart
For now I don’t just see my sister
I see my mother
Fighting the demons of the past
Hurting herself
So I stand ready
To be the one with open arms
To hold her hand
in the darkness of our past
