This is to my first foster father Jim

Fights, words that I use to cut deep
Not knowing how to say what’s in my heart
Words come out with out I thought
Not knowing in my child mind
That every step I take
Is leading to another broken heart
Not wanting to be hurt
Pushing him away
My vertigo
I jump at baits ready to fight
Off balance
Wanting to show love
To be love
So why do I stand ready to fight
Tears fall in my heart
But never will show him
My vertigo
As I am taken away
Know that this would happen
Not understanding why
How I grew so attached
New home swearing to my self
Not to cry
But the tears fall for the man
My vertigo
Longing to go back and say how sorry I am
To the man that I first called
Dad
My vertigo
