A LONELY CHILD
She sits alone in her bedroom, Waiting for her Dad, He said he'd never leave her, And that made her feel so glad. But life does funny things to us, There's a heartache at every turn, And she has a lot of living to do, She has a lot to learn. She holds her memories inside her heart, She remembers days gone by, When she was just a baby, With her Daddy bt her side, But now her life is different, She feels like running wild, She's sad and brokenhearted, She's a lost and lonely child. Why do Daddy's run away,? They must be out of their mind, The people that really love them, Are the kids they leave behind. But someday they'll be sorry, When there old and gray, They'll die a sad and lonely man, But that's the price they'll have to pay.
